Default mood changes fall season

Hi there!
I noticed that both of my cats ( 3 and 2 y.o) seems to be depressed as fall season began. We live in CA, didn't have rain yet, but it's getting dark at 5 p.m, and cold 46F. Kitties used to be on backyard for hours at summer time, but these days they just lay on the sofa, with such a pitiful faces. Any of your cats get "blues" at fall time?
thanks, santarosacat

Suki spends alot more time indoors going mental. She knows its too cold to go out so she does her mad half hours in the house.

Whiety has always been a total outdoor cat up untill now, and she is very very happy to be inside in the warmth this year.

But i see what you mean there is a huge change in Suki. I give my cats loads of treats in the winter. Different foods, cat milk and for Suki i spend a bit more play time with her and buy her lots of catnip toys. Shes got all this energy but is too prissy to go outside and spend it.!!

Mind you it was -4 degrees here 3 days ago!! The weather man says we are set to have up to -14 its going to be the coldest winter on record so batten down the hatches and wrap up warm!

Well, with the hot summer we had in Ohio,Percy seems to like the cooler weather. He started becoming nore active with the Fall crispness. Near Halloween we had wet snow, and he still wanted me to open the window!
