Does your cat pout?

Here's what I have to look at everytime I leave the house:

She knows how to lay on the guilt.

My Teddy likes to mope after I love on him too much (aka, smother him with hugs and kisses) he trotts off, flops down on the floor and gives an annoyed sigh. I'll have to get a video of it sometime.

Awwww, if I saw that face as I was headed out the door I'd never be able to leave!
I distract Lacie from my departures by throwing a toy. She never fails to run after it like a mad thing.
So no kitty guilt trips for me. Yet... o_o

Re: Does your cat pout?

I don't get a pout I get the "Where are you going and why can't I come with you look" which consists of head tilting and maintaining eye contact as I close the door slowly. Either that or the door dart.

Charlee turns her back to me and watches me leave in the mirror.

Awww...poor baby! Shame on you. Didn't you know that you were never permitted to leave the house??

Mine give me a look and I usually have at least two in the window watching me as I go.

Re: Does your cat pout?

Duchess lets us go with no problems. If we are gone over the weekend when we get home we get the back of her head. She will sit with her back to us for 20 to 30 minutes to let us know she did not like being left alone for the weekend. She comes around after a while and snuggles up with us for hugs and smooches.

The more people I meet the more I love my cat!

She often turns her back too. She actually looks less sad then usual because i was taking a picture. For some reason she likes getting her picture taken. I haven't figured that one out yet.

Re: Does your cat pout?

Arianwen used to give me a similar look whenever I went out.
But she doesn't lay the guilt on as much if I promise to drive carefully and come back soon.
