Default Product for digger

My kitten likes to dig but he is an indoor kitten and sometimes its his litter tray after doing his business anyway its messy on him and the floor so is there a product so he can enjoy himself without the mess.

I am in Japan so DIY is out but I could get some kitty litter gravel.

My cats love to dig so I just sweep the floor after they leave the litter box.

Is your kitten still confined to the cage?

If you mean when it uses the litterbox it digs, they all do that. Cats usually bury their waste.

If it's digging in the litterbox for fun and it's still locked up then it is digging because it's bored.

He does more than bury his waste that is done in a few seconds - he keeps going digging over the complete contents of the litter tray and more (he was always like that from the first time we got him- though not every toilet time) - I think he is having fun- my decreased adult cat enjoyed digging in the yard. It makes sense for cats to enjoy digging- getting to mice and birds where there is some loose dirt and getting into hollows to avoid enemies.

Sounds like boredom to me, then.

I have a feeling some of you may have mistaken cloa513 for me... I was the one who used to keep Milky in a cage. And just in case any one is wondering, since the big discussion I've let him out and he's doing just fine. I was just worrying over nothing!

Anyway... cloa513 said that the cat is an indoor cat, didn't mention anything about confining him. Although I'm also guessing the digging is due to boredom.

You can read his previous posts. It's living in a cage, at least it was the last time he posted.

Milky's Mammy, I'm glad that you've decided to let Milky out of the cage. Being confined in a cage is no way for a cat, ESPECIALLY a kitten, to live. And Mow Mow is right. cloa513 has his kitten in a cage because his wife and in-laws are worried that the kitten will ruin precious family heirlooms.
