...how they deal with them?
My mom has a hearing aid and I doubt her cat, Zoe, knows about it. She keeps it in it's box in her dresser when she's not using it and that's about it... Is that what you're asking?

Some cats may be attracted to the scent of ear wax which may accumulate on the aid. It is very important to make sure that you properly clean and store your aid to avoid the cat from accidentally finding it, biting, licking, and playing with it as they may think it is a toy.

I don't know if she hated the noise or just viewed it as play thing. She passed away more than 20 years ago though. I keep mine in a wooden jewelery box (which also has silica gel to help dry hearing aids) No cat can get to it.
