Purring_Kitties ....that's what was behind my thoughts of "strategy sessions" with others in the family!
You have to be careful with this, though....your dad's turnaround might have been motivated by guilt...(unless, some thoughtful processing
did occur among your family - and your dad participated in that process). If he "caved in" but, deep down, he's resentful, that is a recipe for trouble.
You know,
unless you've already chosen a particular kitty,
fostering might still be a better intermediate choice....IF there were to be problems, at least your heart wouldn't be broken.......
