What defines a cat lady

I havent done all those things but i still class myself as a cat lady, if nothing else due to how spoilt my girls are and the affinity I have for cats.

I would add:

She blows her cover when a line of 7 well-fed, plump, stray cats follow her into the bank and post-office.

She's the only person out in the street during a hail storm.

She could use some grooming, if only she had the time for her OWN hair.

Her clothes become old-fashioned as the price of kibble and meat goes up.

She's sweet and loving at all times, but a foul mouth when coming across a cat hater.

She grabs some fast food and hurries to spend the morning cooking/carrying/ordering/looking for healthy cat menus.

Her purse has a layer of kibble crumbles.

And so much more...

Agree, the term 'cat lady' is something I would shrink from. It has a bad connotation. I don't have my Webster's handy, but it probably has a bad denotation too.
I have LOTS of cats. I am at high risk for being called a cat lady, so I try not to be one in the popular sense.
I get points for having only one seasonal (winter) cat box for my oldest cat. But I get negative points for the amount of cat hair that invariably clings to my clothes.
