My 13 week old kitten won't eat dry food!

I've heard that this isn't healthy! All she wants is wet food and won't even touch the dry stuff! I've been thinking about getting that cat gravy or something. She is very tiny and I'm worried she isn't eating enough. Any advice is much appreciated! BTW, I've only had her for a week and have the dry food the breeder recommended, Royal Canin.

It's ok if your kitty doesn't like dry food. Wet food provides a lot of things that kitties need. I've always had problems switching cats from wet to dry, lol. But if it isn't because kitty doesn't like it, it may be Kitty has trouble eating it. Teddy couldn't eat dry food until he was around 12 weeks, it was to hard for him. You can try mixing it with water, and check his teeth to make sure they look OK

Never mix water or any liquid with dry food. There is too much bacterial contamination on the surface of dry food that will happily grow if it gets wet, it can cause an upset tummy.

Wet food is much better for kitties than dry food. Dry food is unnaturally high in carbs for cats; your kitten may be showing remarkable good sense.
