There's probably no harm in it but I find it a little peculiar.
Over the past few months I've noticed Ninja's tail increasing its curl. He used to hold it straight up with a little curl forward like normal cats. And now it's curled and spiraled forward just like a chow or pugs tail. Could there be a specific reason for this or just his thing?

I think it is probably just his thing, an expression of personal style. Shasta will curl her tail under neath and into a tight coil when sitting on a ledge or edge with her tail hanging over. She also curls it from straight up, curling down side-to-side instead of swaying her tail, when she is feeling happy.
