Why is Mika eating the carpet?

I noticed him doing it last night. I tried to distract him, but he kept going back. And I imagine he's doing it when I'm not at home too.

He also loves the fluff and strings that come off the cat scratcher. I'm afraid of all this stuff hurting him.

Is there any way I can keep him from doing this?

You might want to look into a disorder called "pica"
