Default Quack noise

My little teenager kitten, Lilith, has recently started making the oddest sound when she sees a toy and she's excited to play. It literally sounds like a duck quack. She'll make that quack sound then a squeaky noise if she sees me pointing a laser around, or shaking a toy that makes noise and run over to play with it. It's so funny. Her brother never makes these sounds. Does anyone else's cats make weird noises?

That's what Mow does when he sees a bird or the lazer light.

MowMow...that video is adorable...LOL!! Of course, my girls weren't laughing. They both ran under the coffee when I started to play it.

Neither of my girls quack, although the backyard in my prior house had a huge pond, which housed both a paddleboat and a female duck. She quacked.

When Cleo gets excited or forceful about something (like wanting attention), it actually sounds like she's quacking, sometimes even barking.

Oh, that's not my boy just a video I found on youtube that sounds like he does when he's talking to the birds outside.

That cat is gorgeous though, I'd love to have him/her.

Lol, she does that chattering in a squeaky tone after the "quack" but the quack really sounds different! Like it shouldn't come from her at all! I could try to get a video but I don't know if it would capture the full essence of this noise...

Hah, my cat does it too! He's also a bengal cat. He only makes this "chattering" noise when he is displeased though, like when someone picked him up and held him against his will. It sounds like kek-kek-kek-kek...

I call Teddy my "squeaky toy" because I pick him up and he "squeaks" he also makes other weird noises too. Both my boys do. Its a Bengal thing I guess.

Though I did have an outdoor kitty who just liked to talk to you "row-mao-meow-row-row" She would prattle on and on. She was an orange tabby with white spots.

Nebbie does that, when she sees birds or squirrels or something that she wants to go hunt.

One of the cats at the sanctuary has a meow that sounds more like chirping. Her name was Tabitha, but we already have at least half a dozen Tabithas in our database, so the supervisor wanted to rename the cat. So for a couple days I was calling her Birdie...but then figured she's not a bird, just sounds like one - then I called her Chirpie.
For anybody living in Utah (or heck, anywhere!) that wants an orange tabby that chirps, she's only $25! LOL
