Does your cat sit or stand during a meal?

Some kitty personality questions:

Does your cat mostly sit or stand while eating?
Does it depend on what they are eating? (wet vs. dry)
Do you consider the cat to be a more passive or aggressive eater?

My oldest cat who is the more aggressive eater will always sit, no matter what it is she is eating. My youngest one most always stands and it looks so uncomfortable! I am not sure what it is that makes her decide to sit and eat once in a while when she does sit. It doesn't matter if the food bowl is on the floor or raised a bit. I have even tried different heights. She just prefers to stand!

I have never owned a dog but I read that dogs always stand while eating. Is that always true?

If the dish is on the same height surface he is eating on then he crouches. Usually he eats sitting on a bar stool with the bowl on the bar section of the kitchen counter so he sits.

Shepherd Book eats on the same height surface so he c rouches.

My cats stand, hovering over the bowls. They are aggressive eaters but I'd say it's because they're little pigs lol

Muffs and Abby normally eat standing up...unless they really like something, whereupon it becomes very serious eating time, and they sit.

Thanks! I think it was just a kitten thing though, he's been crouching lately.
