Sleeping habits

Do cats sleep in different places every night. Lily slept on our bed the first nights when we got her tonight she decided to sleep in her crate is this normal? I am new to cats so I don't know.

I think this is normal. My cat has 5 or 6 different places where she likes to sleep. Sometimes she won't use one of them for weeks and then it suddenly becomes her favourite place again.

totally normal my kitty was being sick all through the night so he came onto our bed because he felt safe some nights he will sleep in the hallway in his cat box or under the sofa anywhere they want to drop they will (:

The same here. Our kitty' s favorite places to sleep vary as well according to her mood (probably). Her favorite places to sleep is our bed, sofa, washing machine (even if it's on!) and her cat tree.

One thing you can count on: they go through phases. Murphy will sleep with me for 3 nights in a row, then not for a month. There's just no figuring.

At night, my cats sem to prefer their beds in the hallway. They start out in bed with me but they leave.

Tinkers favourite bed when we got him was the flat one under the radiator, then he discovered my bed, then it was the sofa, then the arm of the sofa, then the bed under the stairs (at this point I was going to throw out his flat one under the radiator), then the window sill, then the sofa again and now.. the flat one under the radiator!

Saying that, he has just come from my bed and is on the window sill again now *shrugs* cats hey!

LOL I guess they are something else. Lily ended up in my bed at night at some point I was dead asleep to know when I just know I woke up and there she was asleep at my feet.
