First I turned it to the wall (top is angled) and that worked for a little while but he was back at it. Now I put the bucket of recycling on top of it (resting against the wall) so if he tries to knock it off the cat food cans scatter and make a heck of a noise at night and wake me. I still have to take the trash to the dumpster every.single.morning though 'cause he'll knock the bucket down and get in there while I'm at work.
I have the same kind of trash can too. Mia has never bothered it. Mac on the other hand..... As soon as he could jump that high (hes 6 months now), he would use it to get on the counters. Well a couple weeks ago he found out how it opens by accident and thinks its cool. Today he feel in it though and landed in a pile of coffee grounds. Yuck!!! He hasnt hopped on it since this morning! lol

LOL!! Opening a refrigerator door, considering that vacuum seal or whatever it is that keeps it closed, is a pretty amazing feat. It does always astound me how much strength cats have when they're determined to do something. Margaux's just never shown much curiosity about anything other than what's in whatever foil bag I'm opening. Celia can't walk by a closed door without trying to open it. She likes to open the kitchen cabinet where I keep my table linens and curl up on them. Nice.
