Okay, so our cat Fiora ran away last night (we've had her for 2 months) and naturally we freaked out and tried to find her, but since it was so late and hard to see we gave up and went to sleep. When we woke up we found her at the end of our bed, sleeping at our feet (we left the window open in case she did come back)
What does this mean? Because whenever we'd take her outside, she would freak out and run straight back inside. She's currently outside but we're unsure where. Does this mean that she's finally ready to go outside and she knows where she lives? I'm just un sure about all of this because this is the first cat I've owned away from home. |

If she was terrified of going out, then she probably wasn't very far, just around your house.
Well yes, she is ready, but you have to consider few things. Like where you live, does neighbors have dogs, car frequency, wild animals and so on. It's not always safe to let your cat out. We live next to the frequented road, both neighbors have dogs and there are also wild animals running right behind our house. I would never let any of my cats go outside for the night nor ever without me looking after them. |

In addition to safety considerations...Is she spayed? If not, even if the area is safe, she shouldn't be going out.
