I had a Siamese cat that loved roses - eating them though. He would sit by the rosebushes outside and pull the roses down so he could eat them. One of my current cats loves blue flowers - they have to be blue, forget-me-nots, flax - leaves others alone. He too will eat roses, but I have to pull it apart so he can eat the petals.

When I bring flowers into the house or plant outside I am very careful to make sure they aren't toxic to cats. Roses, though I have read are like candy for animals.

Consider me an animal, then. I'm about to make a yogurt cheesecake with rosewater and walnuts.

I wonder how the furballs will react to the scent!

My sister makes seriously gorgeous rose biscuits - her old cat used to love the smell.
