All of these suggestions are so good! We'll definitely think about what is making Jeeves HAPPY and if we can encourage him to get away from the baby, I think that will be best.

He has places to go that are safe, he just doesn't go to them. He can easily get away (the baby is still pretty slow).

I attached some photos for you guys! Jeeves was a rescue cat and had been given his name by the humane society (he was an un-neutered stray when he was taken in - at approx 5 years old). He's sure been a delight and we love him to death! He is happiest after baby goes to sleep
