Pulling claws?

This isn't about declawing.
Does anyone else's kitty pull their nails with their teeth! Lenny keeps doing it to all different feet, I've checked all around his feet and no irritation and doesn't seem dirty! He does it for quite a while at a time and it knocks me a bit sick, I know it's not the same but it's almost as if he was human he's trying to pull his nails out completely! Is this a cleaning thing? I've noticed scratching post is only used for his front so maybe this is what he needs to do to assist with the post? Or is it worth mentioning to a vets just incase?

All cats do this as far as I know.

He's not trying to pull his nails off, he's trying to shed the outer layer of his claws. It's totally natural.

It doesn't sound like he requires any intervention unless he seems to be in distress.

My KC does this all of the time. I haven't seen Shadow do this. Maybe she doesn't know how to. Lol

Yep, got toenail chewers here too! I find toenail sheds all over the house. I used to have a jar of them, then decided it was just too weird to tossed them. yea, I know - weird.

Well I'm glad it's not just him doing and and that I'm not the only one wierded out by it! He only seems to do it when he is sat on me never on my partner! I think he knows it freaks me out haha!
