Default Have you ever had and Evil Cat?

Well i just picked up our new kitten only 10ish weeks old and shes part Siamese although looks not much like it. Question is is that shes really aggressive. I dont know if this is playful kitten or just being mean. She attacks our older cat and it doesnt seem to hurt him he just seems to deal with it lol. And when she pounces my hands and feet she usually doesnt use claws cuase she knows it hurts me. But she is always pouncing or wrestling things. My friends mom used to own a Siamese cat and she said it was pure evil. It would do things just to hurt people lol.

Is my kitten just wasting energy and normal?
And are Siamese cats normally more agressive? What kinda different charaters do Siamese breeds posess?

We have one that's part Siamese and she's as sweet as can be. She growls if you annoy her while sleeping, but tha's true of most cats.

I have had in the past a truly evil cat. I got her from a shelter and found out about 8 months later that they abused the animals there. She used to run up and scratch my little brother's face for no reason. It got to the point, that my parents had to get her declawed be cause she was so malicious about it. But who would take in a nasty cat like that? Funny thing was, as mean as she was to everyone else, she loved my mother intensly. She would only cuddle with her and even protected my mother's foot after her surgery (she would hiss and snap at anyone who went near my mother's foot). We had her put to sleep a few years ago when her kidneys failed and the vet told us our options were put her to sleep or keep her for about two weeks in which time she would starve to death. I could bear to watch that so I put her down. But she was loved even though she was mean as mean could be. Still to this day I think part of the problem was my father wouldn't let us pick her up and cuddle her when she was a kitten cause he thought we would drop her or hurt her. I think that negatively affected her personality.

We once had a tortie - and she was evil too! She used to attack people from behind, and tear up their backs really badly. She also liked to attack people from high places. It wasn't just being overly playful - she'd have her ears back and be hissing to high heaven. She didn't bother the other cats much, because she was pretty little and they would just get her back. People were fair game, especially children. We just learned to watch out for attack mode, and put her in her room anytime kids were around. She wasn't very cuddly at all. We loved her and kept her too, until she had to be put down in old age, but, boy, she'd turn most people into cat haters.

You're cat's still a kitten though ... it's probably just playful. I'd be especially likely to think this since she is not attacking you with her claws ... she's just pouncing ... it's fun! When she gets too rough, give her a firm "no" and remove her from the situation. Play therapy may be useful here too. Just remember, kittens are extremely playful and energetic, and she's only 10 weeks, so you've got quite a ways to go.

Cats at that age love to pounce and wrestle things. I don't think it's necessarily the breed. Don't let her play with your hands though always redirect her with a toy.

When you hear her talking all the time, then you'll realize she's a siamese!!

I know!! Mine walks around the house doing this warbling cry, even when she knows where we are. And she talks to us. Our Siamese mix has more vocalizations than any cat I have ever seen.

Not sure if Scotty has Siamese in him but he is SO vocal. "Meeeeeeooooooooow!" Which, in Scotty speak, means "Feed me!" He does that along with rolling onto his back and strategically placing his head on my foot.

I don't think that your kitten is trying to be mean. it sounds to me like she is playing with you. No claws out when she plays? No she is not agressive..she's just having fun!

I once had akitten who was auctully born wild but abandoned. I adopted her at very young age maybe 2-3 weeks old. She was absolutely terriable! If you didn't have her food ready on time she would bite you and just latch herslf onto your hands. She was trying with all her might to hurt us. Trust me you'll know the difference! be glad you don't have a cat like mine!
