Default cat behaviour after eating their dinner

my youngest cat who is 7 constantly howls after eating her dinner and ends in a gentle cry.is this normal? i wonder if she is telling us that she enjoyed her meal because she always comes down the stairs and sees me and my wife when the howling is finished.

Thats so cute!!

Or......she's howling...."Not again, the same ole dinner day in and day out, Why? Why? can't I have variety?" then ends it with a good womanly cry.......and comes downstairs hoping there's a gallon of ice cream to ease her pain......lol

just joking.....lol

Love,
Sora

If you don't notice anything other unusual that would indicate a health problem, I would say it's nothing to worry about. It's not a behavior issue at any rate.

Welcome to the forum!!

sora , that made me laugh but she does it even after having biscuits and she loves them.i think it might be a genetic thing going back to their hunting days.she might be calling to our other cat that she has a kill in her bowl!

My Dusty will also howl and cry strangly after a particularly tasty meal. I always just chalked it up to him telling the neighborhood about his wonderful meal!

Of course, then the very long, stinky bath starts. He'll stink of cat food for the rest of the night!
