Default Stray Cat Possible Bone Defect?

Well let me start by saying Hi, I'm new here and stumbled across this site trying to find answers about this. I have 2 indoor cats, and about a year or two ago my Mom fed a stray cat outside, we all know how that goes- now we have a good 8 or 9 outdoor cats. We feed them regularly, we've lost a few but we usually make sure they are all doing ok. Last night though while I was coming home I noticed one of the kittens sitting down on the driveway not wanting to move, she finally took a few steps out of the way. This morning she kept meowing, and still huddled up sitting down in a ball, she eats food and seems fine. Then when I walked over to pet her- which she never lets me do I felt bunch of tiny bumps on her stomach area, and her leg bones. At first i thought it was a massive tick issue...which has never come up before, so i got some gloves- was spreading her fur and found nothing. Ive never heard of something like that, and I recently just lost my dog I had for 11 years so having to put down another animal right now might be a bit hard right now personally. Anyone ever heard of bone defects or something like that? Sorry about the long post

Welcome to CF and I'm sorry to hear about the bumpy kitty. I've never encountered that, but my range of experience is pretty miniscule, so hopefully other, more knowledgeable members, will see this and help you out.
Initially, I think the kitty needs to see the vet. Her behavior is indicative of a severe problem. Severe enough for her to radically change her behavior. I just want to say, if you take her to the vet and they think the kindest thing would be euthanasia ... please don't feel badly about having to do that. I know it would be hard after so recently losing your dog but if her condition cannot get better, relieving her from suffering and/or possibly dying alone and unloved would be a great gift you could give her. I hope it doesn't come to that, but one never knows...
Best of luck,
heidi =^..^=

thanks- i mean she still eats, still walks around, shes always hanging around with one of the black cats sleeping next to her. but some times shes just out by herself meowing like shes in pain. i know if i have to put her down it would be the best thing...its what we had to do with my dog yesterday morning...sigh. my mom wanted to drop her off at the humane society...but well, i wont even go into that hah. Ill try and setup an appointment for her tomorrow.
