back leg not working

I got home form work today and my cat's back left leg isn't working. She had been fine this morning when I left her. She has been in a bedroom all day and has nothing more than our bed (2 ft. off ground) to jump from. Could this be a pinched nerve scenario? I called and left a message with my vet and am hoping to see him tomorrow. Fluffy is about six years old. She also doesn't seem to be suffering and is acting normal except that when she walks her legs keep swinging around to the left side. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: back leg not working

It could also be a blood clot or a variety of other things, but it doesn't sound like a simple muscle injury that could be given a wait and see approach. If it were me, I wouldn't be waiting till tomorrow, we'd be at the emergency vet.

Yes, I know I need a new signature pic...someday...
