There was no bloodwork taken and no real diagnosis either. Just medication 'on the assumption' that he has an infection or worms.
He is refusing his tea and I'm worried that he didn't get his full dose of antibiotics. I'm on holiday for a week from this Friday and can't take him with me which means relying on flatmate (tobys co-owner) to pill him etc. Bit worried about that to say the least

Did you teach your flatmate to pil him? Maybe teaching him will put your mind at ease. Just flip the upper jaw skyward, the bottom jaw will drop automatically, then throw the pill down his throat. You have to do it real quick.

Have you tried Greenies Pill pocket treats to give the pills?
My cat has to take pills 2x's daily and she is the pickiest cat EVER. But I have been having great success with the pill pockets. She gobbles the treat right up, without knowing the pill is inside. You may want to pick up some of those, and leave them for your flatmate to easily pill Toby. It would just be a matter of setting a treat out for him.

Well, although it sounds like a good idea, I've not seen pill pockets here. Plus he isn't eating anything at all right now, not even treats

Aww thats too bad
I don't know if Amazon delivers internationally to London, England or not? But they're sold on there, and can be over nighted if they do deliver there: The salmon flavor is the most tempting, at least for my cat. Even when she's not hungry, that flavor gets her to gobble it up each time. I try to avoid the salmon, since fish-based foods are bad for them, but it doesn't hurt once in awhile just to get the pill down them. She does eat the chicken flavor too though, but not as thrilled about that flavor. Maybe a new smelling treat would entice him. Good luck, I really hope you can get him to start eating again. Poor guy, hate to see them sick.

The pilling simply won't work. Even if I could get him to take it (and I can't, he just holds it in his mouth and refuses to swallow) flatmate will never do it. He'll just give up. Argh! And he isn't eating a single thing. Drinking ok thank goodness, just not eating.
Going to call up the vet as soon as they open. There has to be alternative solution because this is a non starter

Poor Toby. I had to pill all four girls yesterday. Pried open Gigi's mouth, popped it in, shut her mouth. WHOOOOOOSH! It came flying out and landed on a cat tree. I finally crushed it and put it in her food, but that's not possible with all medications. Like Clavamox, which has a terrible taste. Or even with all cats. They just know it's in there.
Sometimes people who have no problem pilling don't quite understand how difficult it can be.
