Default moths and cats

are moths good for cats to eat? or at least okay? right now apparently is moth season in brazil and there have been quite a few. and mr oliver has turned out to be quite the hunter of moths. Last night I saw him eyeing one and I went and killed it. I turned around to get something to pick it up and throw it away and I turn back to see oliver licking his chops...no more moth....Today I just did the same thing and poof its gone in two seconds...so lol I just wanted to know if this is something I should stop or just let him enjoy some extra protein?

I can't imagine there's any harm in his eating a moth...although I'd make him catch it himself!

Of all the snacks my cats like over the years, moths are a favorite! Never known a cat to get sick from eating a moth. They seem to find them particularly tasty, even more so than crickets or grasshoppers. Spiders and bees/hornets/wasps they ignore (or at least do after they've been stung once).

Moths, like most insects, are fun, healthy snacks for cats. I actually shoo hallway moths INTO my house for my cats' pleasure.

I also buy crickets as a regular item on my cats' menu.

OMG, I did that for the first time about a week ago. They went berserk over that thing! And eventually ate it, of course.

Haha that's cute, I think my cats have eaten moths before, and my one cat when she was a kitten managed to eat a bee, we tried to stop her but I think she digested it. She seemed okay though, no signs of pain or any abnormal behaviour (thank the lord) ... Though we were going to take her to the vets, but she remained fine the few days later, I was wondering whether she actually ate it or not..
