Yes, I know that onions in large amounts or over a long period of time can cause a certain kind of anemia. Even if they had eaten the small piece of onion that was offered there would have been no problems.

Shrugs. As long as you're aware. I personally wouldn't feed anything that has any risk at all. I don't feel there's any need to add that in the diet in whatever amount.
