URI or hairball?

I think the cats may have an URI. Rowdy has been coughing for about two days, but I am not sure if it is a hairball or an actual cough. Neither have ever coughed up a hairball, so I am not sure what is what. Malley has a goopy eye again, but I have eye drops that are clearing that up. How do I know if it is a hairball or a URI. They have plenty of energy, super playful, eating like champs. So they don't seem sick.

I don't know, but I hope the kitties feel better whatever it may be!!
