The behavior you have described would be seen by a veterinary team as a medical emergency. I think she needs to go in to the vet again, right away, she might need a catheter now. Urine can back up into the system, poisoning the kidneys and filling the blood with urea. The situation can become fatal, and quickly. She may not actually be blocked, it might be a reaction to the pain and inflammation, but you mentioned she's producing very little to no urine. I would be very concerned.

Quote:
It is hard to tell when a cat is actually blocked as the inflammation, urgency, and non-productive straining also accompany cystitis whether or not there is a blockage. The easiest way to tell is by actually feeling in the belly for the presence of a distended bladder. It is often the size of a peach and about as hard and firm as a peach if it there is an obstruction. (Normal bladders are usually soft like partly filled water balloons and non-obstructed inflamed bladders are usually very small or empty). Still, while this size and texture difference is obvious to the veterinarian, most pet owners are not able to feel for the bladder correctly. If there is any question about whether a cat is blocked, he should be taken to the vet for evaluation as soon as possible.
Urinary Blockage

Blockages happen most often in males as their anatomy makes it quite easy to happen. This doesn't mean that it can't happen to females. It's rare, but it does happen.

She finally peed a decent amount. It was in her brand new fuzzy cat bed which is now trashed, but I'd rather have a trashed bed then a cat who needs to go to the E vet. We had put a t-shirt over the bed when we saw her squatting in it last night, but this was enough pee to go right through the shirt and leave a spot a good six inches in diameter. It's still bloody, but the fact that she was finally able to go is good, right?

Now as I'm typing she just jumped in the box and is squatting with no results. Hubby called the e-vet and they said if it looks like she's straining she should be brought in but if she's just squatting we can hold off a bit. I definitely wouldn't say she's straining - she's staring around with barely a twitch of the tail (her tail normally shakes like crazy when she pees)

Thoughts? Can we keep waiting since she's had a good pee? She's only had 2 days of Clavamox so I feel like maybe she just needs another day for it to work.

This sounds to me as if she is indeed at least partially blocked and that she can't pee until the pressure is strong enough to push around/through the block.

That kind of pressure is probably quite uncomfortable for her.

On the other hand, I've had UTIs and you CONSTANTLY feel like you have to pee, even when you don't.

Sorry, I know that wasn't much help!

Poor Fergie! You have certainly had your hands full with her.
Sorry, no good advise but I tend to err on the side of caution. I would hate to ever look back and wish I had made the trip to the vet.
I sure hope it all clears up and she is feeling good very soon.

I don't have any experience with this (knocking on wood), but I hope beautiful Fergie is back to normal soon.

I'm with Sue. I too would tend to err on the side of caution. I hope she's feeling much better very soon.

Hubby took her back to the vet this morning. She's still squatting without result, and she threw up her breakfast (and therefore medicine). The vet said her bladder is soft, not overfull and distended. Her gums are sticky, indicating dehydration, so they gave her some sub-q fluids. They are going to run some bloodwork and keep her there to observe during the day. The vet also said it seemed she may have a slight heart murmur, but that could also be due to her stress.

What's weird is that her little ears have been pink for 2 days and now they're suddenly back to normal. Her nose and ears usually turn extremely bright pink when she goes to the vet!
