Default another Toby update

So, we went to the vet last Friday and - to cut a long story short - the reason Toby hasnt been eating is his teeth are very nasty indeed! He was given a long acting pain killer plus a weeks worth of antibiotics. Of course, he desperately needs his dental but we have to wait until the hyperthyriodism is considered stable.

Anyway - at the moment he looks as bright as a button and his catpig days have well and truly returned . We just have to work out when he can have his teeth sorted out now.

I'm so glad to hear Toby is feeling better and it's nothing more serious then bad teeth. The FIV and FeLV positive kitties have tooth and mouth problems so much more then other cats. They come on pretty quickly, too. Several of my positive cats have had problems, even had to have teeth pulled, but when it's done you can tell they feel SO much better.
Glad the cat pig has returned and hope when it's time for his dental everything goes smoothly.

I'm glad to hear you found the source of the problem. I hope the pain killers continue to do their trick until he's able to have his dental work.

All the best for you and Toby. I'm sure after his dental he will feel so much better after his mouth is healed.

Oh boy! Sounds like he's feeling better already.

I've had 2 cats w/ no teeth. Blaze had her fronts and canines with NO molars and BooBoo has NO fronts w/ only the largest molars at the back. Both ate canned and dry food just fine. I made sure to have only dry food w/ rounded pieces, no 'stars' with points or corners.

How nice to see that Toby is doing better and that you were able to figure out the cause! Hope his teeth problems are sorted out and he is back in top shape soon. Best wishes to him as always!!
