Default I've started the switch!

Trying once again to get my girls off Fancy Feast.

I bought Merrick (Turducken) and Holistic - Duck & Chicken and Chicken & Lamb.

They do NOT like the Duck & Chicken. They ate the Chicken & Lamb a little better, but I had to mix half-and-half FF with it. Which is fine, I have 3-4 cases of it left, so mixing it and slowly switching them over to the new stuff is okay with me.

Gigi is the easiest cat to switch over, loves the Merrick, but even my little Hoover didn't like the Holistic Duck & Chicken. I didn't want to give her the Merrick because it's not pate-style, given her speed-eating, but she didn't throw it up, shockingly.

Or maybe I just haven't found it yet....

Good luck! Mine have never been a fan of duck for whatever reason.

You could Try Instincts, they are really good too.

Oh, I bought Wellness Core, too. Forgot about that one, I'll give them some of that tomorrow (well, later today technically).

I didn't think I'd ever be able to wean my crew off of Fancy Feast! Whatever is in it is very addictive for them. After trying many different brands, I'm thrilled to see them gobbling up the Natural Balance pate style and not throwing it up like they did with the Fancy Feast.

My girls don't throw up the FF; Gigi throws up when she eats too much, too fast. And she's not a fan of chewing, so I've tried to limit her to pate-style food.

In the past, I always fed my cats FF - my vet calls it "kitty crack". My two new girls now get Wellness (which they love!), but after reading some posts, I'm going to start rotating different brands of grain free canned with them.

My two won't touch any flavour of the Merrick foods and sniffed, but wouldn't even lick the Turducken flavour. They LOVE Weruva Peking Ducken though. In fact they love all of the Weruva foods we've tried so far and mealtime has been a source of laughs for me too. Pedro has taken to playing with his peas before eating them! They won't even touch the pate foods now that they are so used to and happy with Weruva. I've even tried a couple with the pate-like chunks & gravy, but they won't touch those either.
Suppertime has become one of super excitement including Apple walking on her hind legs - I thought only dogs did that until Weruva came into our home. LOL

It's actually because of everyone here that we landed with Weruva. They're super picky and I wanted to go grain free mostly canned with them so we tried a few and their reactions to Weruva have made me stick with that brand.

Best of luck with your transition and I hope you can find something that they'll all agree they like!

Well, the Holistic was a total bust. It's quite gross to look at, not even pate-style, it's mush. Fortunately, Petco will give me a store credit for the cans I return. Whew!!

The girls will eat the Turkducken and Wellness Core (for now), so I'm going to buy a bunch of different brands and flavors and keep track of the hits and misses, bearing in mind that "hits" today could be "misses" tomorrow with my fickle girls.

But, they're eating SOME better food. I put down the good food when I leave for work and give them their FF in the evening. The main reason for that is because the girls are separated during the day, so it's okay if it takes them a few hours to eat it. In the evening, I like the girls to be together, so I can't have food sitting out or G will eat it all.
