Ohh...
CatsPride, Nestle is the name of the person, not the company, but it's funny that Purina is owned by a chocolate company... xD

I believe Nestle also owns Friskies and Alpo.

Not sure if they treat it as a business secret, but maybe they would tell you if you write to them and ask. That said, I don't think slaughterhouse rejects are necessarily a bad thing, when meat for human consumption is removed from the bone it makes sense to me that they can't be so precise to remove everything, so if pet food companies have the technology to remove the leftover meat it doesn't make that meat necessarily bad quality. And just because horse meat is not considered fit for human consumption doesn't mean it's not high quality meat, as good or better than beef.

i agree with Kobster, i think it is mostly based on what you can afford, and if you can't afford the higher quality foods; i don't think anyone should crucify you for it. I think so long as the animal has fresh running water at all times, has a loving home, and is treated well and has a clean litter box; that's still a very high quality of life. But, if you can afford the higher quality food that has a higher standard like AAFCO certified foods and grain free..you should. I just think everyone needs to be educated though that wet food is always better, because cat's need a sufficient amount of water.

Great post!

Nice way to end this thread.
