I have this new dragonfly wand toy that the cats really love. Its battery operated/remote controlled and the plastic wings move like the real thing. Both cats really like it. I noticed today that one wing was missing after a play session with the cats. Do you think one of the cats bit off- ate/swallowed it. I looked around for the missing peace but couldn't find it. Currently both cats are just fine but I put the toy away and am thinking of throwing it away to prevent something like this from ever happening again.. Should I take the cats in?
Trouble is I'm broke and am saving up to get them their rabies, distemper shots and exams this september. What warning signs should I look for if the cats indeed did swallow the peace of plastic wing. thanks |

I agree with Sinatra. I think you should just look for signs of an upset stomach, such as weird stool, or throwing up. I would presume they just picked it up and hid the wing somewhere. Often times, cat's will hide prey in special places, Rocky often times will hide his play toys in the same place under the futon in the living room. I would just keep a watchful eye on them for the next 24 hours.
