I got news for you lolol
Your gandmother, at her age and maturity is not going to change lol Eye opener or not, you can't change 60 plus years of habits lol A part of me says just let her be and make the dang cats happy. Both grandma and the cats are in their twilight years and both deserve to be happy. There is a lot worse pet owners out there! You can educate and lecture until your blue in the face but the second you turn around she is going to do it again lol why not try working with her a bit? Pick up some healthy freeze dried salmon, liver, duck or chicken at the pet store? I am betting you the cats would go wild over freeze dried salmon and it would be a lot healthier for them then peanuts lol You can buy these treats and also get her an adorable little treat jar to put them in. Make it all girlie and cute for her babies. Then show her how much MORE the cats like the freeze dried salmon and liver over peanuts. lol It might not help them with their weight but it would have more nutrients for them. |

Here are some cute cat treat jars
Overweight Cat Treat Jar [26398] - $5.09 : Treasure Traders Dropshipping, Dropship I love this one!! The fat cat treat jar =p Cat Treat Jar y Cat Lidded Treat Canister - 49101 Its all in how you present the treats to grandma! If she thinks the treat jar is cute, she will be more likely to use it... and the cats will get better snacks and though it won't completely cure the junk food problem, it will help. |

That last link is to Colorful Critters and I saw that it's based in San Diego. But they only do on-line sales. Can you imagine me in that store, if it existed?????
