my vet, as a rule, won't neuter/spay kittens/puppies before 6 months of age. But with rescue cats he will. Pets he won't.
Not sure why the logic. I once had a male kitten who had to wait for sometime cause he had one stubborn testicle that didn't want to drop. Finally it did. Which was good cause he was looking at a rather invasive neuter if it hadn't

Makes no sense to me either I did do my research and found that there are no complications for a 2lb kitten that would be less if they were older. I didn't have a chance to decide when to have any of my pets fixed. Sasha was fixed well before she ended up at the shelter. Bentley had his done through the Golden Retriever rescue group we went with and the kits could not be released to our custody until they were fixed as a bi law of the rescue group. |
