Default Worms and Fleas

The other day, I noticed Catty went around in circles 4 times and then sat down and licked her bum. Does this mean she has worms? And how do you know is she's got fleas or not?

My mum said most cats have worms and fleas but is that true?

What's the best worming treatment; tablets or the squeezy liquid stuff in a bottle? And what flea treatment do I get?

Catty has had fleas before but nont that many. Kitty hasn't had anything wrong with him but he sometimes sit's down and scratches himself for about one and a half minutes.

I can't help you on the worms but I'd recommend you got to the vet on that.

As for fleas, just look through their fur. They won't be hard to miss. If you find any, you'll want to get something like Frontline, Advantage, or Revolution. Revolution protects against more than just fleas. I'd recommend you use Capstar and then Revolution.

Yes, they both go for their check-up in August,(next month), so I will get to know then. Are fleas white? I'm pretty sure they are but just checking.
Yeah I'll put Capstar on first then Revolution. Might put Frontline on them aswell.

Thank's for the advice

Capstar is a pill that will kill any flea that bites them. The effect doesn't last more than a day. Revolution will prevent new fleas among other parasites. You really shouldn't need more than one preventative. Bad things may happen if you use multiple actually, I'm not sure.

fleas are tiny and either black or brown color.. if the ones on your cat are white, you may be dealing with a louse problem. Newly hatched lice will be white.

My vet used Frontline on Sasha for fleas and Drontal as a preventive for worms

Oh, so fleas are usually brown or black. I always thought they were white.
Okay, I won't put Frontline and Revolution on them after Ive given them Capstar. I might do what dweamgoil did to her kitten Sasha; put Frontline on for the fleas and Drontal for the worms

If your cat has lice, you need to make sure they don't spread to you. They are pain to get rid of once you have them.

Yes, well I have had lice a few times but I am sure Catty or Kitty doesn't have them. Also, even if she did have some white specs o her, they might be cat dandriff?

I would give a Capstar tablet to get rid of what fleas are on the cat and follow with the Frontline, Revolution or Advantage. Capstar kills the active adult fleas but you will have eggs that will emerge in a few weeks. The pour on flea stuff will take care of them when they hatch.

Been down the lice problem with my son's exwife. Everytime my grandaughter went to mom's she would claim to find lice in her hair. She was blaming it on my cats.
