Default Ear cleaning?

Should we clean our cat's ears regularly, for example by squirting a cat ear cleaning liquid?

I wouldn't use any special ear wash, and I have Devon Rexes with big ears that tend to be waxy. Just take a damp tisssue/toilet paper and wrap it around your finger and clean them out that way. Don't use Q-tips, not a good idea and you could do some damage. If it's just brown wax, do as above, but if it's black gunk, it's likely ear mites, so get them to the vet for the proper medication.

After I seen this post, I decided to go check my cat's ears. They are quite clean.

I don't recall ever cleaning them either.

When I do MowMow's weekly grooming (brushing and nails) I also wipe out his ears. I just put a little bit of mineral oil on a cotton ball and clean out the top open part of his ear. If there is stubborn wax I may use a Qtip but NEVER in the ear canal. Just the top part where it is open and visible.
