Since I feed raw, I give salmon and/or fish oil twice a week. I am unable to afford much grass/pasture raised meat, so the meat I feed is from grain fed animals, which tend to be way to high in omega-6 and not high enough in omega-3.

The general rule, at least for raw feeding, is that for every 10 lbs of cat/dog, they need 100 mg of omega-3 per day.

The bottles of omega-3 fish oil I get are 1200 mg capsules, but 360 mg omega-3 per soft gel. Salmon oil gets to expensive for me, so I use fish oil instead, though the fish oil comes from anchovy, mackerel, and sardine. Lots of brands try to use soy, but this one doesn't.

Fish/salmon oil can help with hairballs and keeping a cats fur in good condition
