So with raw being actually, well, raw, wouldnt it make them sick?? People can die from raw chicken (or at least get incredibly sick).

Not even close, since cats are obligate carnivores (like sharks, snakes and birds of prey) and evolved to thrive on a diet of meat in the form of prey animals. Their digestive system is absolutely nothing like ours.

Really, hon, go take a look at the Feline Nutrition Education Society's website; they have articles that will answer your questions before you've even formulated them.

I swung by my local pet shop today, I've only been in this particular shop once (strange since it's only about a mile away) and they had Nature's Variety Instinct frozen raw. I picked up a bag of beef. While I was there, I put an order in for a bag of lamb and a bag of rabbit for the first of next month.

They are charging 3.00 less per bag than Petfooddirect and no massive shipping charges for frozen shipments.

I used to feed my kitties Wellness but after more research decided to wean them off it. I now feed them Natural Balance and they love it.

I feed my baby Nutro Natural Choice Healthy Kitten. The pieces are small for her and she eats it really well.

rocky east mostly wellness, some evo, and occasionally natural balance...he seems to really like evo the best, just from my observations....i give him 80% wet, and 20 % dry, which might be too much...the dry i use is grain free blue wilderness, and rocky really likes it....he also likes trader joes tuna, but does not like anything eles from trader joes...most of trader joes has rice in it, and rocky does not like rice

i have not tryed the new wellness recepies cat foods, cannot find it in phoenix....but would like to try it.

Super late response, but the reason I can't feed raw is not because of the risk of UTIs, but because he's FIV+ and thus has a compromised immune system. Sorry if my wording was confusing. >__<
