When should I start my 6 month old Rockin' Robin on adult cat food? He's kinda finicky-doesn't seem to like his kitten food anymore. I let him try a can of Friskies-it disappeared in MINUTES! He also has a yen for Smokey's food-Dad's kibble. He certainly needs fuel-he's a very active cat!

I just asked my vet this same question. My kitten just turned 7 months. The vet said he has to stay on kitten food until one year.
There are cat foods made for a cats entire life, from kitten to senior. My kitten never tolerated these foods. I have always wondered about these foods because a kittens nutritional requirements are not the same as an adult or senior cat. |
