Default Circles on ears, not sure what it is

I recently noticed these two small circles on my cats ear. Not quite sure what they are. He does scratch that area so I'm not sure if I should just buy frontline or if it is something else. Besides the scratching, he acts/eat normally. I included the picture to get a better idea. He is an indoor cat but I take him in front of my door once in a while and watch him for like 5 min while he just sits there or else he is terrified of the outside world. Any suggestions?

Kind of looks like bite marks, but not sure.

I said (aloud, yes) the same thing, looks like a bite from "fang" teeth. Do you have other cats that it could be from?

..on second thought, they look too close together to be from another cat's bite. Hmm, at a loss on this one.

no other pets and he is never around any other pets. I was thinking maybe it is from scratching his ears a lot from some kind of fleas and he irritated it?

It seems as though its a rash or allergy because he keeps scratching just that area. Any thing i can do to try to help it?

Mmm, no over-the-counter ideas here.. Not sure if human meds would help or wld be a good idea. What kind of food is he on? I'd hate to say, "take him to the vet", LOL, but...

He eats wellness wet food healthy indulgence. He has had allergy issues on top of his head which the vet has used cortisone to calm it. I will just have to call his vet and see what he says.

I agree that looks like a bite. Insect, other cat, snake?

Hope you get it figured out!
