What should good poop on quality food (EVO) be? Firm like a tootsie roll? Soft like toothpaste? Toby's poop is about the consistency of toothpaste or peanut butter.
He shows no signs of any illness, so I was just wondering what's within normal range of consistency? |

I've gotten everything from the boys from toothpasty/peanut butter consistency (on canned only) all the way to tootsie roll (they tend more towards this on raw). When Wicket was on commercial dry (grain free) with a small amt of canned he tended to really get the runs and would often drop a little present right in front of the litter box that fell off on the way out. Since we've transitioned to raw they never have the runs (and have not, thanks goodness, been constipated!) but tend to be softer when we add in the canned food.
Hah--long story short, I think if it's consistently normal for your cat, it's probably fine? Anyone more experienced in poop?

My cats poop has the shape of toothpaste but firmer than that. I can see some moisture but if I scoop the poop up, there is only a little poop that stick on the scoop.
Here they have a chart. The normal poop is type 4. Constipated Cats | Little Big Cat
