We have recently (in the past week, during one of our paranoid health checks of her) noticed that Evie has red gums around one of her teeth.
Now this doesn't seem to hurt her and isn't stopping her eating (believe me, she will eat anything). But, I know cats have a tendency to hide pain until it is severe, so I know Evie may just be doing this with her tooth. I think it's likely she has gingivitis. So, could this sore tooth be causing Evie to pee and poop on the bed/sofa? You see, she does this either 1) when she disagrees with me or my OH or 2) when she is feeling unwell. The past two days she has been a pooping nightmare! She doesn't care where it is. She's pooped and peed in her tray too, so I know she has no issues with the trays themselves. She will, of course, be going to the vet. |

It's very possible. Cats will eliminate inappropriately if in pain, so if the tooth is bothering her that much, that could very well be the reason.
I wish Miss. Evie the best of luck at her vet visit, and I hope her sweet little mouth is feeling better real soon. Keeping yas in my thoughts.
