Well, another cat problem...the middle cat has something up with her eye. There is skin coming from below her eye, kind of covering her eye, like something's swollen. There WAS puss coming out, but not anymore. Sound like an eye infection? I can give more details if needed.

Any sneezing? Discharge besides the puss? I'd say vet honestly could tell you best.

No sneezing lately, at least nothing major. There was a cold bouncing around a month ago, but that was gone like two weeks ago. I'm taking her this weekend, just trying to figure out what to expect. I've spent like 500 on vet visits in the past month or two. Between annual checkups and medicine...argh!

oy, boy do I feel ya though. We did not plan on Tucker. He just showed up. Kittens are expensive!
I don't know what to say, maybe the cold messed with something or she got something in her eye or scratched it on something. Sorry I'm not more help.

The "skin" is the 3rd eyelid and the fact that it's showing is an indication of a problem. It could be an infection or sign of other problems. I would not wait for the weekend to go to the vet.
ETA: Just saw your post about the Xmas tree. A scratch is a possibility. It could be minor or it could be more significant with the possibility of an ulcer forming which can affect eye sight. One more reason not to wait for the weekend for the vet.

Cali's eye was bothering her for a couple days last week, which made me panic. I gave it a couple days, but then there was a little pus Thursday morning. I came home Thursday night, and it was 100% back to normal. Go figure.
Hope your middle cat recovers quickly.

When she's relaxing, it comes back out and starts watering. I'm 99% sure that there is something stuck in her eye. Left a message for the vet, maybe there's eyedrops or something they can give her. |
