Default Persian cat isn't eating?

I'm fostering a 10 year old Persian cat who has digestive issues. He is on Medi-Cal Gastro Intestinal High Energy Dry and Soft. I'm to give him 2 teaspoons of the soft 1-2 times a day with a ¼ capsule of this powder mixed in. The powder is RX Vitamin for pets called Nutrigest. I've been instructed not to give him any other food. He's been here a week so far and the first few days were fine aside from the one puke pile I have to clean up each day. He was playful the first few days but isn't playful at all anymore. He had his shots Wednesday night and has barley eaten since, his lack of food interest started the morning before he had his shots. He has not touched his soft food in 3 days and I left a bit of dry out for him over night last night and it barley looks eaten. I'm getting worried. Other then last night I have not been free feeding the cats so I know he's not eating much. I leave his out for about an hour a couple times a day. I spoke to his last foster and she said he was disinterested in his food for the first two days there, but was fine afterward. He's done the reverse here. He has become less interested in pets and brushes from us as well.

His two main caregivers are out of country right now and hard to reach in a timely fashion. I'm not sure what to do. Is it common for Persians to puke every day and have digestive issues? Anyone have this problem before and have some tips?

I haven't had experience with Persians, but I would be concerned if he is still not eating by tomorrrow and should be seen by a vet. All the best. Good luck!

What about hairballs? I know when Leelu has one by a puke pile by the litter box, sudden bout of loose stool, and how she is quieter than usual. She has a slight change in appetite as well and doesn't play or come around to hang with me during that time.
I give some vaseline by mouth and usually within 24 hours, she is back to normal. This happens maybe once every 4 mths. If she got hairballs more often I wouldn't use vaseline, I would go and get a hairball remedy, as I heard vaseline isn't the best for frequent use.
Anyway good luck and I agree with catloverami, more than 2 days take him to a vet. These bouts that Leelu has never last more than 24-36 hrs and she still eats and drinks, I can just tell she is off kwim?

He might be just now morning the "loss" of his caregivers and that might be part of not eating. I would leave food out 24/7 for him to try to get him to eat. Its imperitive right now!!!

He is eating again. Not as much as he was the first few days but he is eating. I bought a bunch of Weruva cans to try on Angel last week. So far she's only tasted what I have put out so rather then throw the rest of the can away, I added a tiny bit of her soft to his usual soft and he gobbled up 2 of 3 servings yesterday. He was locked up with me last night with dry food and half of it was gone this morning and no puke piles. I had to cover my bedspread with towels just in case...lol. His owners told me I could try other stuff but in very small amounts so it doesn't upset him too much. I'm going to keep that up for now as it seems to be working.

As for his puke piles they are mostly very watery with a bit of yellow tinge to it.
