Default Mimi is doing much better! Phew!

She's eating much better after her extractions. The sustained-release pain meds are starting to wear off I think - she's more alert. She pooped (YAY FOR POOP) and seems to be having an easier time peeing although she does go and just sit in front of the litterbox and stare into it at times (it's clean - I'm neurotic about cleaning it). The only issue I see is on her lower lip/chin area, she has a little redness - I think she rubbed too much when I wasn't around and caused some irritation. I'm keeping an eye on it - the swelling from the extractions has gone down considerably. Last night she also started acting funny with her left eye - it would stay closed for a bit when she woke up or after I was petting or kissing her ... I got all worried and was going to rush her to the emergency vet but I thought I'd give her the night ... maybe she irritated it rubbing on something... this morning it was normal but she just came over for some pets and I noticed it again. When scratching (even when scratching the right side of her face), her left eye closes and the right one stays more open ... could this be after-effects of anesthesia? I think it's weird that it is happening on the same side of her face as the redness on her lower lip/chin area. Any ideas?

Thanks!
