Hey all!
I'm in the process of transitioning my cat to wet food and so far the only thing he's really picky about is the texture of his food. He refuses to eat pates. Searching the forum I found that this isn't an unusual problem and saw a few food suggestions (Tiki Cat, weruva, soulistic etc). However since it's hard to tell the texture of the food from the can, I thought I'd pass along this resource I found. Basically a pet store opened a can of all their cat foods and took a picture. They seem to carry all the major brands. It was very helpful in compiling a list of some new foods to try (I'm still figuring out what he likes/dislikes). Hopefully it can help someone else who has a texture picky cat! Canned Cat food Spreadsheets - a set on Flickr |

Awesome! Mine also refuses pâté, and if I'm not sure, I ask the pet store employee who typically has no idea. I have weird rituals if shaking the can and trying to gauge the gloppiness of the noise to determine what's inside.
This should be very helpful Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

Thanks for sharing! But for those who haven't tried Wellness, this isn't an accurate list for them. They have pate in all the flavors but all the pouch varieties are chunked up and they also have "minced" and "diced" on the labels of their cans. Just thought I'd share! Don't let the picture keep you from trying that particular brand.
