Experience with Prednisolone?

My kitty is very sick with what could be Inflammatory Bowel Disease, but I am trying to educate myself before trying anything that could possibly harm her further.

Has anyone used Prednisolone on their cat? What were the results? Any side effects?

Since I last posted, I have seen my cat vomiting and she seems to be doing it when no one is around and in inconspicuous places. I am considering a second opinion with a new vet, but I need to weigh all options before I make a decision. All I know is that I have to decide soon and I feel alone.
