I have difficulty applying flea medication to my cat so with Advantage, I typically open the tube, and lay on my bed, holding it in my hand waiting for my cat to lay beside me and become drowsy giving me an opportunity to get it on the back of his neck before he jumps off the bed and runs away. I can't be sure I'll have the opportunity so then I have to recap it and wait for another time. I haven't used Revolution before but it says not to remove the foil until ready for use. Is there no cap on the tube? How long does it stay good if I remove the foil? Sometimes it takes days before I can get the medication on him. He's wise to me.

It's been my experience that several days is ok. I've not noticed any loss in potency and I often have to recap too. The biggest problem can be that the med will leak/evaporate if you don't get the cap back on tight. Yeh, none of our cats likes a squirt between the shoulder blades either. You're lucky if they just run. Squiggy used to turn and attack!

Thanks! That makes it easier.
I guess I am lucky; I've never been attacked - yet.
