Cat has less hair above the eyes

Hi,
I've had Pipin from the shelter for a month now. He came with some battle wounds around the head area.. perhaps because he was abandoned he just got a little beat up from exploring or whatever. I dunno though. The vet records shows he had 1 tic on his side which is cleared up, and that he has no worms. Since I've had him he's had considerably less hair between his eyes and ears and I thought I'd post pics and see what you folks think. If he's healthy and this is just his regular appearance, or if you think this could change for better or worse in time.

I attatched a couple of pics here. A distance shot of him looking like a dope on NY Years heh (was very close to naming him "The Dude" at the shelter because this is how I first met him looking at me..) and a close up taken just above his head. (normal rez with no zoom) There's also a pic of his left side.. note the hair loss around the ear. He's also only 3 years old.

I think it's perfectly normal
cats have kind of different hair on the temple, it looks like there is less hair, it's especially evident in black cats.

some people dont know about it. i.e. my husband so he was concerned about our two cars after we adopted them he told me that our cats are balding

in conclusion, i am convinced it's normal - all of cats I had (6 all together) have/had that baldness on their temples.

Yes, it's perfectly normal. My black cat, Thor, had funny eyebrows like that as a kitten, but they've mostly grown out by now.

It's normal.

Blacky looks particularly bad in this picture. Often it comes down to lighting, I don't normally notice it:

Along with the dogs Tara and Coco.
