Gadget, my soon to be 11 month cat caught his first mouse in the basement last night.
Of course he had to bring it upstairs to play with it. He ran around with it in his mouth and then would put it on the step and bat at it. Of course when I tried to take it away from him to dispose of it, it got away. But Gadget did catch it again. He still wouldn't kill it, he just wanted to play. I put an end to that and I don't think he was happy! |

Nice! Pipin chased something small and gray under the TV stand last night. I couldn't tell if it was a toy or not so I slid a ruler under there to see if I could get it out but found nothing. Toy or not I definately see mouse killing in his future. He's always looking out the windows and down on the ground.. I see his head moving around almost as if he thinks something is going into the house.

When I lived in a really old appartment building my kitties used to catch mice all the time. It's suprising how Oliver can be fat and lazy all the time but if a mouse comes in he's a deadly hunter. We havnt had any mice problems since we moved to a newer house though.
