Hey guys.
I've posted a couple of times before about damned feline acne! Tinker has had it now for nearly 5 months. We have tried everything and the only thing that has actually helped is wiping daily with unscented, sensitive baby wipes. It's pretty much gone now (YAY!) but he started getting a couple of pimples. I think one pimple got sore and he made it bleed. I got off the blood but now there is a lump. If i give it a squeeze you can tell it hurts him. Clean blood is coming out, not pus or gunk so I know it's not infected. I have been washing it with an antiseptic wash. It's not improving.. but it hasn't got worse. My question is, should I squeeze it again to empty it? Leave it alone? Keep up the wash or go back to the baby wipes. I don't want to stress him out, he is quite a sensitive cat but I also don't want his acne coming back.. or the lump to get worse! Any advise would be great |

If it begins swelling noticeable, becomes redder by a considerable margin (most healing wounds become a bit redder) and if it weeps with pus. You must also be aware of more general signs in behaviour.

dont squeeze. it brings a risk of secondary bacterial infection.
wipe it if there is anything to be wiped and let it be for few days, without squeezing and touching. most pimples, even if they are healing, need a day or two for swelling and irritation of the tissues (that have been squeezed if it gets infected you will know - it will likely get bigger, more red, warm, and it will hurt (a lot). if that happens go back to vet for medicine for that (topical or oral antibiotic depending on severity). it's also possible, that even if clean blood is coming out, there is some clogged pore debris inside. if that's the case, in a day of two it will get closer to the surface and you will be able to clean/gently squeeze it out (clean hands!!
