Yes it's safe. I'm always growing wheat grass. The kitties and dogs love it for their tummies!

I buy it often from my local grocery store (organic food section). The boys *LOVE* it. I have to ration it because they'll both chow so much they vomit. I have to let them graze a few minutes and then put it in the fridge. Then give them a little more later on.

This is turning into a photo contest of cats eating grass!
Murphy does throw up when he has eaten a lot of grass, so I just limit the amount he can have at any one time. If it's in small quantities, he doesn't throw up and everything's good.

You can get it from any pet store like Petsmart or Petco. Look in the cat section. My cats like it and it is easy to grow. You can buy it in an all in one planting container or buy the seed and use your own pot and soil to grow it.
